Jehl Law Group Expands, Adds Two Associates

Jehl Law Group, PLLC, a civil litigation firm focused on nursing home abuse and neglect, personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice and other aspects of elder law, today announced it has hired Eric Espey and Angela Polk as associate attorneys. Both Espey and Polk report to Cameron Jehl, founder of Jehl Law Group. 
“We are thrilled to have Eric and Angela on board,” said Jehl. “Their experience, work ethic and community involvement are well-aligned with our growing firm, and we look forward to their success on behalf of our clients.”
As associates, Espey and Polk oversee the intake of new clients/cases and assist with the firm’s pre-litigation responsibilities, as well as all facets of cases that are in litigation. 
Since his bar admission in 2005, Espey has practiced civil litigation, primarily focusing on family law and personal injury. He also has experience in real estate and civil rights litigation. Prior to joining Jehl Law Group, he had a solo general civil practice for eight years. Espey received a B.S. in political science and international economics from Murray State University in 2002 and his J.D. from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2005. He is a member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and American Association for Justice. He also coaches youth soccer in his spare time. In 2018, Espey was listed as one of the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers by National Trial Lawyers.
Prior to attending law school, Polk worked for 10 years as a paralegal. During law school, she held positions with the Honorable Robert L. Childers, Shelby County Circuit Court Division 9 and Shelby County Public Defender’s Office. She received her Associate of Applied Science in paralegal studies from Southwest Tennessee Community College in 2009, a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies from University of Tennessee at Martin in 2015 and her J.D. from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2019. Polk is a member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, Association for Women Attorneys and the Memphis Bar Association. She is also a volunteer with Girl Scouts Heart of the South. While attending the University of Memphis, Polk received the Dean’s Award for Best Brief, Dean’s Distinguished Service Award, Dean’s Distinguished Pro Bono Award and was a 2019 Law Student for Justice, awarded by the Tennessee Supreme Court.
